Meeting opens at 7:13 pm with a moment of silence, the reading of the Twelve Traditions, Twelve Concepts and the Purpose of Area Service and Decorum Statement. Minutes are read and accepted with corrections.
Roll Call is taken we have a quorum of 10 or more to conduct business. Please see groups in attendance for itemization of attendees.

E & A Time Frame Motiom
E & A committee makes a motion to SIASC for an additional $658.00 to the existing funds for the SI Area Picnic.
Motion to change orders of the day passed.
Motion to give additional funds to E & A passes.
H & I Report
Open commitments are: Thursday Bailey Seton, Monday University Hospital Chemical, Wednesday MICA @ South Beach Psych and Friday Arthur Kill Correctional Facility.
Joe P elected as the new H & I Vice Chair has been elected.
A presentation with PI @ Camelot was made and the new H&I presentation will begin on August 4, 2004.
H & I/PI Committees will be having a joint Learning Day on Sept. 28th @ 7PM. 103 Targee Street. All are welcome.

ELECTIONS
Scott C nominated himself for Literature Review Chair. His qualifications are as follows:
10 months 2 weeks. I have a NA sponsor and my sponsor has a NA sponsor. I have a willingness to serve. I am a professional journalist/writing teacher. I have fulfilled 1 year as ASST. Literature Mgt. I am currently the secretary of my home group, Principles on Sunday. I have read all NA literature and am familiar with it. This includes all books pamphlets and guides for addicts, groups and service structure.
Motion to waive Scott’s clean time made and passed. Scott was then voted in as Literature Review Chair.

Motion: To donate 10% of excess funds after operating expenses to the World Service Office
Intent : To follow 7th Tradiditon

There were no questions, No cons and no Pros . We will vote on next business month
PLEASE NOTE:
7 Alive made an amendment to the motion. The change would be to donate 25% to the NY Regiion as opposed to 10% to the World Service Office.
Intent: To follow our 7th Tradition.
The motion was tabled for clarification from the groups. This will be voted on at the next business month.

Seven Alive needs a coffee person.
Principles on Sunday needs a GSR and Alt GSR.
The Real Deal needs a GSR, secretary. Business meeting is the 1st Friday of the month.
Serenity on Saturday meets at 141 Parkhill Ave Saturday morning at 11AM and needs support. This meeting is in jeopardy of closing.
Eltingville @ 8 needs support and an Alt GSR.
